Fairs. The essential fair for decorating the home at for Christmas. This year’s fair includes a nativity scene of over 35 square metres at the Museu Marès.
The Sant Llúcia Fair, held in the heart of Ciutat Vella, reaches its 232nd edition this year. The fair opens on 30 November and finishes on 23 December, with its usual series of activities for people of all ages.
The fair brings together nearly 300 stalls with traditional Christmas products, including nativity scenes and figures, trees, moss, craft items, friction drums and musical toys.
Various parallel activities are being organised, such as the giant tió pooping log and the traditional procession by the city’s Carassa de Nadal figure. The 25th meeting for Catalan Christmas traditions and customs is also being held.
At the same time, and within a hundred metres of the fair, the Museu Frederic Marès (Plaça de Sant Iu, 5) will be setting up a nativity scene of over 35 square metres, with figures up to 40cm tall.

Observation
This year we celebrate the anniversary 232è (from 1786 to 2018 is probably much older, but first dates are documented in 1786) of the Fira de Santa Lucia. With the motivation to improve the fair every year, both the Association of Santa Lucia Fair and the City Council have worked together to offer you the best show possible. This year the fair will be open from 30th November until 23th December. And once again, we have not managed to cut the duration of the days when we program activities for you all. From November 1 to December 19 all the activities are confirmed. We are currently working to extend them to the rest of the fair.
This year, beside the Fira de Santa Lucia, less than 100 meters from the Museu Frederic Marès in Plaça de Sant Iu No. 5 of Barcelona, have a nativity scene in the form of counter over 35 square meters, with figures up to 40cm tall.
