The fact of visiting a new city is a very exciting experience, but if you can also live it and feel it as an integral part of it, it will be unforgettable!
Barcelona is a welcoming city, and we are very warm and proud hosts of her that we love to show her to the world. Let us do what we like the most and get ready to know Barcelona as a CITIZEN!
The Citizen Segway Tour, starts from our headquarters in the center of Barcelona, where we will be waiting for you a few minutes before your departure, with the fitted helmets and the Segway ready! Adjust your helmet, and let’s start with the initial training!
Once we have seen how easy and fun it is to ride a Segway, we will start our 3h adventure around Barcelona. Our first stop will be near the sea, as it could not be other way since we are in a Mediterranean city, to check the maritime atmosphere that breathes in Port Vell being observed by the majestic statue of Christopher Columbus that presides over the beginning of Las Ramblas. It points us the way to … America? Well, we’ll discover that during the tour…
From Port vell which is connected to the city by means of a wooden footbridges known as Rambla de Mar for being an extension of Las Ramblas, we can see the Aquarium of Barcelona and the Maremagnum, the only shopping center open 365 days a year.
With the sound of the waves breaking against the boats that enter and leave the port, we will go to the Parc de la Ciutadella surrounding the Gothic Quarter and the Born district with its pìcturesque street full of typical restaurants and artisan shops. Here we will give you some gastronomic recommendations!
Entering the Parc de la Ciutadella you will be captivated by the festive and leisure atmosphere that breathes inside. A green space in the center of the city where citizens gather and give free rein to their imagination practicing all kinds of hobbies.
Former military citadel that gives rise to its name, inside we will find some historical monuments such as the Parlament de Catalunya old fortress arsenal. During its history it has suffered several reconstructions until in 1881 Josep Fontserè designed it with the motto “the gardens are to the cities what the lungs are to the human body”. After a few years it hosted the celebration of the Universal Exhibition of 1888, which brought Catalan modernism to the world.
The immense Arc de Triomf marks the way!
Now we will go to what was the entrance of this exhibition, and then enter the Eixample, the most populated district of Barcelona and where many tourist attractions are located such as Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Casa de Les Punxes, the Monumental and our next destination, the Sagrada Familia.
We will visit the great masterpiece of Antoni Gaudí and we will admire this construction of which we know the starting date, but after more than 125 years, we still do not know when it will end! A whole unsolved mystery for citizens today!
From modernism to avant-garde, this is Barcelona, a city of contrasts! From the most representative monument of Catalan modernism, we move towards the most avant-garde Barcelona, with the Agbar Tower as the gateway, to the most technological neighborhood of the city. Former industrial district, its evolution has been changing the appearance of this district, recovering industrial lots for the construction of residential buildings and other spaces for the location of offices and technology companies from around the world. This area is known as Distrito @ 22.
We will cross the Poblenou to get closer to the Mediterranean coast and the beautiful beaches, specifically the beaches of Bogatell and Nova Icaria, where we can take magnificent photos with the Mediterranean Sea in the background.
We will visit the Olympic village and the Olympic port, space where some
Olympic competitions were held and where they stayed during the celebration of the JJ.OO of Barcelona ‘92 athletes and athletes who participated.
From the Moll de la Marina, we will show you the evolution of the famous fishing district of La Barceloneta until today, and we will recommend some characteristic places to eat or have a good beer looking at the sea!
Back from our Citizen Segway Tour, we will have fun with our Segways as we skirt the neighborhood of Barceloneta and connect again with Las Ramblas to complete this journey full of emotions and content.
With our Citizen Segway Tour you just need to register to become a true citizen of Barcelona!
