  A fun experience for all of us
We were visiting Barcelona for two days with our teenage kids
and had a crammed itinerary. This tour whilst short and sweet, and... read more a welcome break to usual the walking tours we’d experienced.

Two of our group were proficient riders whilst 2 were a little unsure Our guide was extremely patient and helped them in the riding skills. By the end of the tour everyone was confident in their abilities.
Arnault our guide, also gave an informative tour of the park.

This tour is bookable using the Go City pass, we arranged it via email directly with the Segway company and the communication was swift.

We’d definitely do a Segway tour again.

  I can't recommend this place highly enough. We were 6 40something girls who quite honestly just fancied a go on a Segway. We popped in and booked the... read more tour a day before which was quick and easy and the lady who served us (sorry, we didn't get their names!) was helpful, and spoke English very well. We booked the shortest tour as we thought that'd be long enough but I would recommend the longer tours if you have the time. As we were first timers on a Segway the lady who took our tour met us around the corner and gave us some training. She was extremely patient and helpful and we soon got the hang of it.....it did take around 30 mins of our 1 hour session so bear that in mind when booking. The guide was patient, very helpful when crossing the roads etc and just altogether brilliant. We took in some sights and the Segways made it so much fun to get around. The 2 ladies that we dealt with were so helpful.....we had a problem with our bags that day as it was our last day and had to be out of our apartment and the ladies help us sort it all out with no drama at all and we can't thank them enough for everything. Good fun, excellent customer service and if we're in Barcelona again we'll be back there in a flash!

  We booked this tour through the Go City app for a Monday tour. They emailed back saying they were not offering tours on a Monday. However later that... read more day they did say if we could be there by 4pm they would take us. We are super glad we showed up, because it was a fun and enjoyable ride through the park and all around the local area. Its easy to ride and the guide we had was extremely nice and helpful. Would highly recommend this tour for some fun and education

  Oscar was a fantastic guide. Smart. Funny. Kind. Informed. We loved our tour. Neither too long nor too short. Just enough history for teenagers and a good Segway speed.

Note to families though - We booked with Sun & Segway through Viator as the minimum age was... read more 12. However the legal age for segwaying has changed and there is a little confusion as to if the new minimum legal age is 14 or 16, either way we booked for ourselves and three kids of 15, 12 & 12. Since they were now too young our route was changed to keep under the radar. Bear that in mind if you are booking for under 16s, that being said - WE HAD A GREAT TIME

  Both Barcelona Sun & Segway and Akram (our guide) made our too-short visit to Barcelona great.

I wrote to them the same morning that our cruise ship was... read more arriving in town. They responded immediately with availability and times. The times would not work for our schedule, so they were willing to create a time slot for us that worked... what great flexibility! The directions they sent were perfect - including a photo of the meeting point. When we showed the taxi driver the photo, he knew where it was and took us right there.

They met us right on time. Since it was off-schedule, we wound up with a private tour. We told Akram what we wanted to see, and he was super-willing to rearrange our itinerary to take us where we wanted to go.

We probably visited 10-12 different sites during the re-arranged tour. Akram was very knowledgeable about what we were looking at, andd was able to explain what we were seeing and why it was interesting in clear, easy-to-understand English. We never felt rushed, even when we randomly stopped to take pictures, despite his concern with basically, making up the tour route as we rode.

We didn't see more than a small bit of the cool stuff in Barcelona - when I return, I will use Barcelona Sun & Segway to check some more sites off my list. Both their customer service and the tour itself deserves 11 points on a scale of 10 :)

NOTE: My friend had never segway-ed before; I had a couple of times under my belt. Akram took the time to get us both up to speed. It's really easy (after the first 5 terrifying minutes). Once you're used to driving the Segway, it is second nature. And Barcelona has a lot of bicycle lanes, so we were able to zip through traffic.

Our impressively multilingual guide was helpful and kind as we got used to being on Segway (it was the first time for me and my friend),... read more and he was so knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. The whole tour was really fun and exciting, and we really enjoyed ourselves immensely, particularly since we got to see so many places that would have been pretty far to reach on foot. My friend and I also appreciated that our Segway group was much smaller than the other groups we saw around, which was nice because we effectively had a private tour instead of trying to jostle for space near the guide. It was also a really smart idea to have us meet in the skateboarding park so that we had a good space to learn how to ride the Segway. All in all, very pleased with the experience and it was the highlight of our trip!
