The Sun and... read more Segway is fun and you learn a lot about Barcelona that the formal guides leave out. After a 15 minute training tour in a small square you are zipping off around the streets and onto the waterfront and parks with guides who are not too pushy with usual platitudes but give personal insights into life in Barcelona and have a great sense of humour. They allow some freedom for going around the spaces, speak a number of languages and are great with kids. Our guide Pablo seemed to know half of the people in Barcelona and going through the big parks with him was a real treat. You can tailor the times to go but best to book early and if you have been on those big bus tours then some have discount coupons so make sure to keep those.

We popped in and booked the... read more tour a day before which was quick and easy and the lady who served us (sorry, we didn't get their names!) was helpful, and spoke English very well. We booked the shortest tour as we thought that'd be long enough but I would recommend the longer tours if you have the time. As we were first timers on a Segway the lady who took our tour met us around the corner and gave us some training. She was extremely patient and helpful and we soon got the hang of it.....it did take around 30 mins of our 1 hour session so bear that in mind when booking. The guide was patient, very helpful when crossing the roads etc and just altogether brilliant. We took in some sights and the Segways made it so much fun to get around. The 2 ladies that we dealt with were so helpful.....we had a problem with our bags that day as it was our last day and had to be out of our apartment and the ladies help us sort it all out with no drama at all and we can't thank them enough for everything. Good fun, excellent customer service and if we're in Barcelona again we'll be back there in a flash!

Tiziana is the operations manager and she responds quickly to all your emails.

Oscar is the actual Segway guide and he is excellent in his instructions. Plus he is funny and gives a great commentary of the places we visited while touring the beach front. And he keeps safety as paramount.

We ended at the Ciutadella Park before returning to the Segway office.
A note. They will send you a google map link for the meeting point. On this link you will see two Segway marks. One is the office. The other one is where you actually meet. It is in a park- The Graffiti Park of Barcelona, Jardin de les Tres Xemeies. So if you go to the park, you are in the right spot!

Their Segways seemed to be newer models. At least newer than the one we had in Bermuda last May.

Closest metro station there is Paral El. Meeting spot about a 5 minute walk.

We are super glad we showed up, because it was a fun and enjoyable ride through the park and all around the local area. Its easy to ride and the guide we had was extremely nice and helpful. The segways are easy to get the hang of and there's a lot of open space and bike lanes to use them in.

  This is a trip just around the Ciutadella park. This was our first ride on Segway and the instructor / guide Mara really helped us to feel comfortable and get... read more to grips with it. This is a short very restricted ride around the park, but ideal if you havent experienced a segway before. Mara was fabulous. The booking was very easy and I actually did by contacting them through Whatsapp and is this is included in your Go City pass for Barcelona. This was time well spent.
