We will show you a fresh, modern and welcoming Barcelona, and we will do it with the same enthusiasm and the same illusion as those athletes who participated in the 25th edition of the ‘92 Olympic games.
Do not think about it anymore … and let our guides accompany you and do what they like so much … show the city and tell you about it.
We will start from our office located next to Las Ramblas on Carrer Cabanes, 26.
After a previous training to leave with our Tour in safe way, we will inaugurate the route passing through the Columbus Monument and the Seafront of Port Vell.
With a design referring to Catalan modernism, we will be surprised by La Cara de Barcelona; pop-Art Monument made by Roy Lichtenstein during the reform of The Barcelona coast for the JJ.OO of ‘92, in which he pays a small Tribute to Antoni Gaudí.
In the direction of the Olympic Port, we will cross the Parc de la Ciutadella, a former military citadel, where we currently find the Barcelona Zoo, the Parlament of Catalunya, and the Museum of Natural Sciences, among others.
Reached the port, scene of the sailing competitions during the ‘92 Olympic, we will be captivated by a symbol of modern Barcelona, the Golden Fish (Peix Daurat in Catalan). A monumental sculpture created by the Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry, which proposes a large steel structure in the shape of a fish, whose golden and bright reflections mark the beginning of the Marina Port Promenade.
This is the perfect Tour to understand the evolution of the sea front in the neighborhoods of Poblenou and Barceloneta, and how this event marked a before and after in the city of Barcelona.
